Green Box for PS3

Green Box

What I love about April 1st is that there always seems to be huge announcements for games that we have always been waiting for. In the near future, exclusive only to the PS3, Valve will finally release its sequel to the Orange Box; Green Box. Green Box will include the much anticipated Half Life 2: Episode 3, Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead 2. Thanks to the clever minds that dwell the forums, they were able to hack the Valve servers and show to the world this epic moment in game history. Finally, we can sleep at night knowing that Half Life 2: Episode 3 is actually coming.

Sony is on the "Move"

Playstation Move

Yesterday at the Game Developers Conference in California, Sony finally revealed the name for their motion controller and it is "Playstation Move". Sony also showed their sub controller attachment (it's a Wii nunchuck with a directional pad) which will be used to control character movement. Games such as SOCOM 4 and Motion Fighter were demoed showing the capabilities of it's technology. It's obvious what the Playstation Move is influenced by, and I can't say that I am anymore excited about this controller then I was back at E3. What I can say is between now and it's release there is a lot of time, and if I get the oppurtunity to try it, then I could possibly change my mind about the future of the Playstation Move.

Now Playing: Uncharted 2

Uncharted 2

If there is one thing that I always try to avoid is playing multiple single player games at once, because I don't want to leave that previous game unfinished. With more than three quarters of Assassin's Creed 2 completed I was hesitant to start Uncharted 2, but with my newly acquired PS3 it was hard to resist. The first thing I noticed was how amazing Uncharted 2 looked, and with the reputation of Sony having the best console graphics, It was now clear why they have earned that title. I'm not sure whether I should put Uncharted 2 aside to finish Assassin's Creed considering they are great both titles, but do expect two reviews to be up in the coming weeks.

Uncharted 2 is the Best Movie of all Time

I was watching T.V. today and I just happened to stumble upon the new Uncharted 2 commercial that had same spokesmen from the PS3 price cut commercial. I must say that Sony's commercials for the PS3 are well done when it comes to it's comedic factor, and it makes me laugh every time I hear a Nigerian joke. I look forward to buying a PS3 slim this holiday and design some levels in Little Big Planet. After this commercial, I think that Uncharted 2 could win an Oscar for best movie of 2009.

Massive Action Game beta gameplay

M.A.G for the first time was displayed at E3 09 and with the high level expectations surrounding it. After the demo was shown on stage, people for the most part were underwhelmed by it's slow pace and mediocre looking gameplay. After watching some beta gameplay, M.A.G has got my attention and created some questions that need some answers. Overall the game looks promising but it is obvious that the game is a beta and needs some polishing in terms of reload animations, and graphics. The biggest question is, will you really ever see all 256 players, or will you just see a group of 50 or so?

After watching a few videos, I am definitely more enthused about this game then I was a couple of months ago and I do hope to get a chance to play it. This is looking like a must own for all PS3 owners, but how will it compare to games like Modern Warfare 2 or Battlefield : Bad Company 2. Will M.A.G really be a massive action game, or will it just be a generic FPS with huge maps and a lot of running?
